PICTURES, PICTURES, PICTURES, Class, and Games

Sunday I took several photos for my class. They turned out great. I took them of Anthony and Lilliana. I tried to get Eli to join in but he of course was not really willing and just made me frustrated so we let him play. Here are a few.

This is my favorite because it captures her adorable cheeks!!!

Eli also got into sunscreen that day. Five minutes alone and he was a complete mess!!! I was not happy!!!
I need some more.

And some more!

Better yet an entire bottle!!

Now that I have the right amount lets rub it in!!!

Such a little pill!!! I had my last Photography Class yesterday. It was great!!! We walked around and took pictures the majority of the time. I took some neat ones of water.
Soft Water

Hard Water

This is one of my favorites.
Lilliana also rolled over for the first time today. I of course missed it but oh well!! I am sure I will see it at one point.  I also painted her fingernail and toenails. She looks so cute. I took pictures but have not downloaded them from my camera.

Tonight before bed we all played hide and seek with Eli. Then we had a wrestle and tickle time. After that I started a pillow fight with him. It was the first time he had ever done that. He LOVED it and was so funny. All in all its been a great day. My heart goes out to those that have been recovering from tornados or having them as I type this. All I keep thinking is.....The Lord is coming soon!! Are you ready?? Do you know Jesus as your Pesonal Saviour? No one knows the day or time of His return but everything points to sooner or later! I know I AM READY!!!

CARNIVAL Day

The main street with the carnival all set up.
Every year in our little town the Lions Club puts on a springtime festival. The carnival comes to town and there is a parade. I have been gone for it up until I got married. I always was home visiting because it was Mother's day usually. This year they changed the date because Mother's day is always cold. We went last year and it was freezing. I had Eli in his coat. This year it was much nicer.

This morning there was a parade. We live in the main street in our little town so Eli can watch out the windows or stand on the porch. I was going to sit on the front sit on the front porch with him today since it was nice instead of making him stay inside even though the mosquitos were terrible, but he went and sat with his 2nd cousin Trista and Aunt Natasha. At Christmas time when they do a parade it is actually perfect because the kids will be able to just watch out the windows without having to go outside and get cold.  He loved it as there were fire trucks, police cars.....("police say stop!" he has a book and in the book that is what the police man does so Eli associates police with STOP!), horses, tractors, mini airplanes, a train,  and all sorts of stuff. He had a BLAST!!!

Then tonight we went down to the carnival. The city barricades the main shopping area of the town and the carnival sets up the rides and food booths. We were excited to take Eli this year because he would be able to ride the rides. It is really expensive though!! It cost Anthony and Eli $6.00 to ride one ride together so that is all he got to do but he was content. He got cheese fries and a corn dog and loved that. He loved watching everybody. He did not like the noise but that is ok. The mosquitos were terrible though. We have bad mosquitos in our area. It reminds me of when I lived in Florida!  The city sprays but it does not always do the job. One thing I did decide is we need a double stroller....ok maybe not need but want. It was such a pain with two. Eli loves to ride in the stroller too. So hopefully I can find a cheap one or start saving for that too.

All that to say it reminded me of when my Grandma Gloria and Aunt Brenda use to take us to the Fair. We would get giant corn dogs and ride rides. My Grandma was such a trooper looking back. It was so hot and she would stand in the sun so we could ride rides and have a blast. When we got older my parents took us several times to the Rodeo and that was so much fun! They would let us ride rides with friends and then take us to the Rodeo. I think my parents probably took us when we were younger too but I really remember going with my Grandma. I can't wait until the kids are old enough to enjoy the fair. Although the fairs here in Michigan are not as great as the one I went to growing up. You need a huge Grand Stand and Rodeo. Eli is getting so big and so is Lilliana. I love them now but I am sure the best fun is yet to come!

Lilliana had several outfit changes today because of blowouts or weather changes. This is outfit number 1. Navy and Purple are her colors! Thank you Grandma Gloria! We love this one!
Tired
Outfit number 2! Its finally warm enough to put her in a sundress. She was laughing and playing with Anthony.

Part of the parade. Eli loves trains so I took this for his scrapbook.
Showing me all the candy he got from the parade. He was so proud of it!
Riding his first ride. They were big bears than spun around.
Anthony said he kept trying to make it throw himself around. Such a daredevil. Not scared at all and wanted more action.
Saying Hi to me!
This is how Lilliana felt about the carnival. She was bored in her stroller. She looked adorable though! Oh and outfit number 3!!
Eating his corn dog!
I wanted a picture of us together but all he cared about was eating....typical boy!
Walking home. Anthony was pushing her stroller and she was just staring and looking at him. I made him stop so I could capture it.

3 months have gone way too fast!!!!!

Lilliana is 3 months old today!!! The time has flown by!! I can't believe it.

Anthony is working a swing shift this week so our schedules are a little off and I am getting little sleep! I will survive though! Monday I had photography class and it went well. I only have one more. I have learned a lot from it! I think it just has put some mortar between the bricks from what I already know and that is a good thing. I feel like I know my camera even more than I did.

Eli is not appreciating the little changes we are making in his diet in regards to milk but he seems happier. Although today has been a little rough. He seems rather bored. He goes through a list of people of who he can go see everyday. He also has hit an all new child thing. He said he wanted to walk to the park the other day. It usually goes like this....."Walk and Park! Walk and Park!" Anthony told him no not at the moment. He proceeded to say, "Mom said walk and park!" I did not say this at all!! So now he is telling stories or I guess I should just say lies! He also has taken to doing crunches when I do them during tummy time with Lilliana.

My car is fixed. We got our tickets for July to go to Idaho. I am very excited about that. Its busy here and Anthony and I seem to be exhausted. It seems like there is just never ending things to do. I can't wait until the kids are older to do some of these things! LOL Eli helps but he still needs help doing them.

Lilliana is close to rolling but not there yet. She is finally grabbing toys. She is always a very happy baby. She is easy going. I can't believe she is 3 months!!!

He wanted his glasses on and for me to take a picture of him.

Lazy Cold Weekend

Anthony had most of the week off but worked all day Friday and Sat. It was soo nice and hot on Thursday and Friday but turned cold Sat. All this week we have not been driving my car because it is possibly broke. It is making a funny noise in the engine so we just decided to not drive it. That means we all have to fit in the little neon. Its doable but its pretty cramped because of the car seats. The other thing is Anthony uses that car for work and it is not the cleanest just from that! All that to say we have been sticking pretty close to home.

Yesterday I mainly played with the kids and did a lot of research on gluten and dairy allergies. We have decided to just cut dairy allergies out of Eli first and also get him tested. We will see if that helps any. After that we will go from there. The good news is he will most likely grow out of it. Today we had a somewhat lazy day too. Anthony worked late so we were up very late. I scrapbooked and Anthony played some video games. We did not make it to Church once again because of nap schedules and Anthony being late. We really need to get back into the swing of it but Lilliana takes a nap right as we get ready to leave and Anthony did work late last night.

I took a few pictures this weekend. Actually I took a lot but here are some samples. I am taking a photography class so I have been trying to apply some of those techniques but not sure how well it is working out for me. I did use all manuel settings though so I guess we are getting somewhere! I am also trying to learn to take other photos of things rather than my children. Sadly, this is VERY hard for me to do!! I think I am getting better at it though.

In our old windows when they are open Eli likes to line up his trains and play.

Practicing for Class

She is getting so close to rolling over!
I thought this was hilarious when the kids were sitting and watching Anthony play video games. They both look just like their Daddy!!

Eli discovered if he pushed a certain button on the Wii remote he could make the game turn off. He kept doing it and laughing sooo hard
One of my Favorites. She kept leaning on Anthony. I love her expression here.

Becoming a Gluten and Dairy Free House

After many months of thinking I might need to do this I finally have decided we need to become Dairy and Gluten free. I suspect a lot of Eli's gas,  sinus infections, ear infections, loose stool, not wanting to sleep, rapid mood changes, and several other factors are attributed to be allergic to these things. I will have him tested but until that is official we are cutting all dairy and gluten out of his diet.

I really wanted to start completely today but that is going to require a grocery store visit and my car is broke at the moment and Anthony is working. I also will be going on this diet too and that means Anthony will because I am the cook in the house. I guess its more of a life style change. Lilliana is starting to display some of the symptoms of exzema which can be attributed to those things so we are going to see what happens if I switch it out of my diet and she no longer gets it in my breast milk.

When I realized this needed to be done today I wanted to cry. It is going to take some work and honestly, I don't know if I am really up for it. Then I realized I have no choice! I am mom and this is what is best for Eli right now. Hopefully we get it figured out! I will be doing a lot of reading and making all sorts of new recipes. I have also been told that I will drop weight very quick so that is a plus!!! So our journey begins!!!
