Growing, Growing, Growing..........

I use to laugh when my grandma talked about putting a brick on my head to keep me from growing. At the time I never understood it. Now being a mom I do.

Yesterday Ari turned 1 month old!!!:( I am so sad. It is bittersweet. He is strong and so alert, but I don't want him to grow up. I want to have a baby forever. Its funny because with Eli I could not wait for him to grow and do all sorts of things. I probably pushed him to do some things. Lilliana slept so much and was so cuddly I didn't really mind either way other than how fast she actually grew. Ari is like Eli in that he is alert and very strong. I also want him to do less becuase  being the third I realize how quickly the time really does go by. He was 9 lbs. 3 oz. at his 2 week check up so we will see how much he has gained at 6 weeks.

This weekend I took Lilliana's 18 month photos. She is not quit 18 months but pretty close. The queen ann lace flowers are just beautiful right now so away we went. After trekking through poison ivy, seeing a snake, and walking through water I decided it was time to invest in rubber boots! Thankfully I did not get a rash. The light was amazing as it was early morning and I just love her!!!

The weekend was spent watching Olympics and relaxing! I love the Olympics. I actually remember as a kid one time not being able to watch figure skating becuase I got in trouble and being in utter disappointment! Needless to say the kids have enjoyed the little amount they watch. Then they go to bed and me and the little man sit on the couch, cuddle, and enjoy. I end up falling asleep while trying to keep him from fussing. He seems to cry every night around that time.

We also said good bye to Aunt Natasha as she is headed back for more Marine training. She was home after boot camp for a visit.

Sunday was Ari's first day to church. He ended up screaming the entire time so I sat in a different area and watched/listened to the sermon. It was a great sermon. I only got a picture of Lilliana though because she looked so stinking cute!

Its hard to believe that is the little girl I brought home almost 18 months ago.

My goal is to take Eli's pictures this next weekend. We will have a date. He will probably get a donut after because he thinks if he takes pictures for me he gets one. I might surprise him and make them an outing on the town and eating his donut be a part of it.

For now we are off to get some groceries.............Have a wonderful tuesday!

Embracing Baking

Today is Thursday so it is another Embrace The Camera day over at The Anderson Crew with Emily. We are linking up with her again this week.

Last Friday night we did some grocery shopping. Eli in all his naughtiness at the time was so helpful. We were in the baking aisle and he spotted the sprinkles. So I told him he could pick out some and then we could pick out a cake to make. It finally happened yesterday.

Anthony had a surprise day off thanks to pink eye who I am sure he got from Lilliana. That girl kills me with getting it! I digress. Regardless it was nice not to be running around like a chicken with my head cut off and having a moment to just sit. So Eli and I baked his cake. Anthony was also nice and took pictures of us baking. The entire time I heard "can I do that mom?" He is really starting to show his independance and loves to help. He thinks he can do anything on his own. He cracked his first egg and there were no shells even. I was a proud mom!

The best part is licking the beater or spatula after........yes I let them do that occassionally!

After nap we frosted and sprinkled it. Eli was gracious and let his sister help more than she got to with the actual baking.

We all enjoyed a slice of cake after dinner. They loved it and it was a fun time baking with them.

I also embraced the camera with the littlest man today. He makes this adorable face with his mouth. I spent dinner time snuggling him as he was fussy.

Tonight was the first night all three took a bath together. The kids loved it and enjoyed having him in there with him. He was relaxed and it made bath time quicker as I could get them all done at once.

It was a good day and we are finally getting into a good groove. Time for to get your cameras and embrace them!! Have a wonderful Thursday!!
