Ari's "6" month photos

Life got away from me, I also really wanted to use my new camera to do his photos so they really happened when he was 7 months but that is ok.

These photos really show his personality. He is that kid that will make a lot of silly faces.

Splits.............

I wanted to recreate this set up with him to show how much he had grown....he will always be my little patriotic baby because of his due date.

These are one of my favorite things to do of the kids. I have been trying to do one of them each year. I wish I would have started sooner with Eli but that is ok.
We were almost done with pictures and he wanted to eat and crashed so I took the opportunity to take some of him sleeping.

Many times I get parents asking to edit out kids faces if they are have dry skin or a little redness. Most of the time I don't notice and it does not need done. As I edited his photos I knew he had rosy red cheeks that I had put lotion on already. I considered smoothing them but decided against it. I like to remember that about him. All of the kids have had rosy chapped cheeks in the winter. I always forget about it until it is winter and we have a baby in the house. I want to look back at these photos and remember that. Their cheeks are so chubby and cute you can't help but kiss them!

I can't believe six months has already flown by. He has 5 teeth with another almost through. He is crawling everywhere and pulling himself up on furniture. He is a very SILLY child and loves to play with Eli. If he does not like something he screams. He also still sleeps with us at night. He starts in his own bed but wakes up to eat so ends up with us. He loves to snuggle and kiss us. We love and adore him!

Ari is 7 months

It has been a bit since I have done an official Embrace The Camera post even though I have been making sure to take pictures with the kids. So this post is my official one for the week, although Anthony is the lucky parent this week that is embracing the camera....I love you honey!:)

Ari turned 7 months on January 30th. He has not felt very well though so I did not take his monthly photos until today. When he does not feel well he is just a crabby little boy! Needless to say it is now a workout and required the help of his older brother. He is on the move and nothing stops him so to get his usual comparison pictures for each month I literally had to put him on his stomach have Eli hold his arms for a second while I got ready and said Eli let go! Then I got what I could. He is halfway across the bed before I could even get a nice sharp focused image.  These would be the results..........

His top two teeth have popped through in the past couple of days. He also is trying to stand on everything. He is fast as can be and very vocal. He also decided to sit up fully on his own. He could sit up if I put him down. On his own he would always prop himself up with one arm until yesterday where out of the blue he started just sitting up. He loves his brother and sister and they love him. I can't believe he is 7 months already! I have yet to do his official "6 month photos." There is a reason for that and I hope to have them done this weekend:) I am waiting until I get my new camera to do all the kids photos as I need to be able to practice and get use to it. Soo the goal is to get it on Friday hopefully I am able to. Ari also has another appointment with the urologist on friday. I can't believe it has been 6 months since we saw them last!! When I scheduled it I thought it was so far away! Sadly, it has flown by. We will know more after that appointment.

The kids played Candyland with Anthony tonight before bed. I worked on bouncing my flash and am pretty impressed with how well it turned out. I should have worked on that a year ago. I love natural light but at night I need my flash inside and always avoided it until now.

Take time to Embrace the camera with your kids!

Lazy Winter Days

I can't say we have had a very exciting couple of weeks. Anthony has been out of town so I have been tired. By the time the kids go to bed I am ready to crash on the couch. I use to use that time edit, blog, read, etc. Lately I am tired and just do not have the energy. It has been a nice couple of weeks of rest, but photography is picking back up. I will post the kids photos later this week but I did Valentine minis and they turned out so cute.

Instead we have been enjoying quiet play time....as quiet as all three can be. It has been very cold so outside time has been limited. This has meant an abundance of energy for all of them.

Ari is all over and well he is into everything his favorite being the dog water.

Lilliana is my side kick. She follows me all over helping me with whatever I allow her to help with. She carries her stool everywhere to reach too. She loves to help me cook and clean.

Eli is Eli and just likes to cause mischief. He purposely aggravates everybody including Anthony and I and knows exactly what he is doing. He loves to wrestle and has even started getting Ari involved. I love that they love each other. They get a long so well already. Eli is the best big brother anybody could have.

He still likes his stuff to be left alone at times. I was in cleaning up Ari's toys and the next thing I know I see Ari sitting in his bumbo and Eli walking away. First, Ari hates his bumbo. He just does not like using it. Second Ari was in Eli's room. So I asked Eli as he was walking away how he got there. Eli proclaimed he had carried him and put him in there so Eli would not play with his legos and wreck his robots. I said ok. I turned to finish picking up a couple toys and went to get Ari out of the bumbo since I know he hates it and Ari had already climbed out. Yes I have another crazy boy on my hands.

He is just silly. As of late he loves to blow raspberries..........

He also loves to play with Anthony just like the other two do.

As of this weekend he finally started standing well and not jumping while holding onto our hands. He loves to JUMP!

And as of today we are in trouble...................there will be 3 running all over the house soon.

I just can't believe how big he is getting.

He is such a silly sweet boy and still spoiled. He loves to sleep with me still all curled up in my arms. The other two at this point wanted their space. Ari likes to snuggle.

Since Anthony has not been home much the weekend he has spent really playing with the kids. Eli got a rescue car for Christmas that needed to be built. He loves to build things. So Anthony helped him with it on Sunday.

Lilliana colored and enjoyed some chocolate while they built this car. She was very into her coloring.

The most important part............the wheels! They were tough to put on apparantly too.

Of course halfway through Lilliana was not content just watching and coloring. Instead sister bombed the project and insisted on helping stool and all.

It turned out really good and Eli loved making it. They all play with it now too.

I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of spring! While we have not had a ton of snow I am ready to get outside with the kids and play. The next month is always a busy one for us! I can't believe another year has gone by and Lilliana will be 2, Eli 4, and we will be celebrating 5 years of marriage. Life truly does go so quickly. I am so grateful for the memories and blessings I have and can't wait see what more will come our way.
