Our Week

Anthony has been home more this past week and for that I am grateful. The kids miss him and so do I. It has meant much more wrestle and play time. Anthony LOVES to get them wound up and wrestle. I think the first words out of Eli's mouth when Anthony gets home almost every night are, "Daddy will you wrestle with me." He starts them all when they are young and never stops.

I also saw a lot of this all week.

When she does not feel good she is a mess.

For Valentine's Day Eli, Lilliana, and I made Anthony homemade cards  and sugar cookies. They love doing anything crafty and love helping me bake.

Anthony loved getting them when he got home.

Grandma Gloria also sent their traditional cards. I am so glad she sends them cards for Holidays. I remember when I use to get them in the mail. Eli understands when they come now and gets very excited. Lilliana is starting to understand too.

Ari is feeling better and has been downright SILLY! He loves to hang upside down on our laps. I have no idea why but he does it every time!

We also put him on Lilliana's horse and he LOVED it. He keeps trying to climb on it. It works as she now uses Eli's big spring horse.

Ari is going to be 8 months in two weeks and we are no where close to solids. He does not do well. I was doing baby led weaning but he just struggles so much. As selfish as it sounds I can't get anything done with him nursing every hour and half. If it were just him maybe but he has to start eating a little more specifically some iron. I am not doing any grains with him so he can't just get cereal for that. He also has a milk intolerance so he is limited. So last night I mixed up some asparagus and fresh spinach. I left it a little chunky. It was not his favorite but he did well and fed himself with the spoon with my help. I attribute that to letting him do things on his own from the beginning. He also got some pears. He was a mess but it was cute! The good thing is he loves meat and most veggies. I feel like we are starting him in the right direction as I have limited his fruits and just pushed veggies and meats. The other two love everything that is not good for them and nothing that is good for them. Lilliana is better than Eli but Eli is just terrible. Thankfully I have done better with each child. I also know a little more so it helps.

Eli goes up to our room with me frequently. We keep flashlights in our room in case of a power outtage. Eli sees them every time and for about a month has been asking to have them so he could tell a story. Most of the time I am busy and just say no as I am doing laundry or something like that. Finally he bothered us enough that we let him go get them. I have no idea where he got the idea of telling a story with a flash light but he does it.

Lilliana joins him too as we of course had to get her one too. Well now they have Anthony in on their little game and so they sit around and tell "scary" stories.

Eli has been on a roll with understanding things this week. His mind blows me away. As we drove to get groceries it was later in the evening and he proclaims, "mom the darkness is coming." He is at that point where he understands day and night. It is fun to watch his brain work.

Miss Lilliana will be two tomorrow. I can't believe that sweet girl is going to be two. I am hoping to enjoy her last day of being one today. She is my little helper.

I just love those curls and her silliness! More on her tomorrow!

Our Weekend

Today I embracing Black and White. I started with a few photos and thought I would do them all.

Our weekend looked a lot like this.......

Ari and Lilliana had an ear infection and they all have a cold. They are feeling much better but spent the better part of the weekend watching movies, whining and crying. Honestly it was exhausting at times but nice at other times because I could play with my camera and just learn it.

They spent a lot of time taking baths to loosen the junk in their bodies.

Ari hates getting dressed and does this  every time!!!

I feel like they have lived on the couch but they are getting better. Here is to hoping they are better by the end of the week.
