Sigh of Contentment.............
My husband is home after a long week of being gone...........enough said! The kids are thrilled to see Daddy! Lilliana has become a totally different child in giggles. So no long post about the days events...............they were nothing but very frustrating moments of dealing with Photo Shop and not being able to do something that I wanted to do................I just don't know how is the real problem! All that to say we are enjoying our Daddy and Husband tonight!

Its Fifth's Disease!
After today I am still...............................

SMILING!!!
What a rough night! Eli did not feel well and was just not himself. He started to break out in a rash on Sunday but then it was going away, but he was banging his head on the floor and ultra irritable etc. Also I left the dogs out last night as Anthony was not home. Eli came out of his room to come upstairs and it scared the dogs. They freaked out so I woke up at midnight after I had just fallen asleep to a blood curdling scream!! My heart was in pieces. I don't think I have ever run that fast down the stairs and don't ever want to again. I don't ever want to hear any of my kids scared and make that kind of a noise again. That is how the night began. At that point Lilliana wakes up scared so I threw them both in my bed. Only for us to all fall back asleep and the dogs to hear fireworks going off at 1:30 in the morning and go barreling down the stairs again and the kids wake up screaming scared again!!! By this point I throw them in their kennels and say forget it! Oh and if anybody ever tries to break in to our house I feel bad for them. I think my dogs would probably rip them to shreds. We ended up camping out in the living room watching Wall-E at 2 in the morning.

So this morning he woke up and his rash was worse. I decided it was time to haul him to the Dr. Mind you I had about 3 hours of sleep. His regular Dr. was not in. Honestly we have been battling the allergy thing so I just chalked it all up to that! He told me his ears hurt too which usually means his runny nose etc has caused an infection. This is a comparison I did this morning of his rash.
I call Aunt Toni just to see if she can watch Miss Lilliana while I go so I can just focus on Eli and get some answers because I really felt that if this was allergies we needed to be referred to an allergy specialist as I felt I can do no more and really need to know what is causing all these problems. She was so great and took Eli so I could rest before I went since I was so tired. She also agreed to watch Lilliana.
She took Eli to go play at Uncle Todd's house. As they were out there it got worse! So we thought it was sun related. She brought him by our house before she took him to go eat lunch and everything so I could see it. Here is what it had become..............

I felt so bad for him! My heart sank. He was still happy but I could tell something was wrong.
Finally it was time to take him. We were not gone long. The nurse said it was Fifths Disease. As soon as the Dr. saw it he agreed. He probably had a headache from it just did not feel well so that explained the weird behavior. There was nothing I could do about it! I was happy to know it was not an allergy problem. He also did not have an ear infection. Thank goodness! This is the first Dr. visit all year so I hope that means we are staying on top of it with dealing with his allergies. He then went back to Aunt Toni's and spent the afternoon.
Lilliana and I spent the rest of the day together. She has been a little crabby so she went to bed early. She was pretty happy earlier though. She has found her feet but her belly is too big to get them to her mouth.

So here is to hoping tonight and tomorrow are a little easier!

Milestones and Adventures

I woke up this morning thoroughly tired!! It was just one of those days! Some mornings I make coffee and some I don't it just depends on how awake or not I am. This morning was a I NEED COFFEE morning!! I also remembered when I was at the grocery store on Sunday I had just ground some fresh stuff so I was very excited about that. I have not been buying it since it is nearly $9.00 a lb up almost two dollars! I got it on sale though so I bought some. Needless to say the smell and taste was amazing! It was well worth the wait of not having it for a while and resorting to can coffee. My friend Jennifer made me the cup several years ago at a pottery place. It still is my favorite cup and if it ever breaks I will be soo upset. It says, "Somethings are just better Rich Men, Chocolate, and Coffee...."
Eli got to go to Aunt Toni's today which normally does not happen as she works on Tuesdays. From what I hear he had a blast and got to play with a new little boy. We sure missed him today to the point I put off my walk and run until this evening so he could go with us. I am glad he got to go though. It is good for him and I love that Anthony's family loves him so much. I also love that he is sooo good so they are willing to take him whenever.
That meant Lilliana and I had time to play and we took a nap together. She loves sleeping in the crook of my arm. I got up before she did so she continued to sleep. It did not look that comfy but this child amazes me as she will sleep anywhere!

I have been talking about doing this for a week now. I have a mental list of milestones I want to capture of Lilliana. Well she has been doing awesome baby push-ups for a bit now and I wanted to capture it before she stops. I wish I had been better about things like this with Eli. Then again I did not have nearly as nice of camera so having a new camera helps so I can capture her fast movements. Oh well. I remembered certain things I have forgotten with her. Everyone can't be the same. All that to say I did get some cute ones. They may not have been what I originally pictured but they did come out pretty cute

Of course by the end she was trying to wrap herself in her blanket and chew on it. I had to stop as we were taking these on top of the kitchen table and I did not want her rolling off. I think I need an assistant sometimes!!:) I also would like to point out how much I just love her little fat rolls on her arms. Four perfect little rolls and creases!! How could you not love a chubby baby like her?!?

When Eli came home we at and went for a run/walk and then visited the park for about 30 minutes. Eli had a blast. Although he was getting frustrated with another little girl who was very well Ill just say it annoying and had no manners and was being a bully. I had to get after her a few times but Eli held his ground for which I was happy.

Finally he is tall enough to walk across these bars. He has tried last summer and the beginning of spring and finally he has started doing it. He is getting to be sooo big!

The other day I spotted this in our front yard when I was leaving to go to town.....

Today I took pictures of this great mushroom. Eli was beside himself in the stroller strapped in as I made him sit there so I could get a picture before I let him pick it. Finally I let him out and let him pick it! What do you know that kid thought it was a sucker and took a big old lick!!! I had to stop him so he did not get sick! Silly kid. I wish I had gotten a picture of that. It was too dangerous to try to recreate so we settled for some other ones.

After all that fun we came in and Eli got to play before bath and bed. He asked for my headband and this is what he did with it. He also wanted his camera to take a picture of it!! This kids catches on real quick! His camera was full from him just holding down the shutter button so after he went to bed I took this! This kid has such an imagination and is just too smart. Everyday he amazes me!

I love my kids! They really make days so fun and worth it. In the past I have been overwhelmed but I am getting into the groove of things and Eli is getting so big and learning so much I am loving every minute of it. I would not change my life or job for a single thing! I AM BLESSED!

I LOVE SUMMER
Remember when you were little and you LOVED having a friend over to play? Well, I remember it and loved it. Eli got to have his daycare friend Hayden over on Friday to play. He was so excited. Aunt Toni was taking the kids that did not need naps to see Cars 2 and she needed a nap so she came to play and nap at our house. They were geeked about it and had so much fun!! Eli had t he hardest time getting to sleep because he was so excited.

While she was there my sister in law who lives in Texas came to visit with her little girl September who is about 3 months older than Lilliana. We had a great afternoon.
Aunt Toni came back to get the kids....of course Eli had to go for a little visit! Unfortunately at this point we found out Cars might not be ok to take Eli to. We decided from that we probably would wait until it came out on video. There seemed to be just too much violence in it. I was sad but it was good to know. We did have a great night with Amanda and September.
Saturday morning I had an itching to get up and do something fun. So I decided lets go garage saling!! I also had to pick up my jogging stroller. I was looking for winter and fall clothes for Lilliana because the clothes I thought she could wear I think are going to be too small!!:( She is just so big! 19 pounds now to be exact! Anyways, we had a blast going. Whenever we go Anthony always gets donuts. Eli got to have one and I got some funny pictures of him!

I did find some clothes for Lilliana. Eli made out like a bandit. Less than $1.00 later he had a bubble kids lawn mower, fire truck, and Thomas the train book. He was all about finding good deals. I also stopped into a antique store and found two great photography props you will be seeing later!
We got home and put the stroller together and had lunch. Eli had the biggest meltdown over the stroller. He thought we needed to go to the park right then!! That was not going to happen he had to take a nap. We all finally got naps. Anthony woke up sick but a promise is a promise so I took the kids to Sleepy Hollow which is a state park for a picnic. I am sure I looked so funny with the stroller loaded down for our grand adventure!
This is what I see when I look in as the shade is adjustable. I love seeing them together.
We took Eli's new garage sale fire truck so he could play and it became the "nature truck."
He picked flowers to put on it.

While Eli played Lilliana and I laid under a fabulous tree and enjoyed ourselves.

I also took some great photos of him playing in the grass. It was fun to just watch him enjoy himself.

Lilliana was enjoying her self kicking her feet talking to me. I had fun trying to get some good feet shots of her but sadly I have yet to perfect my manual shooting so this is what we got. It was still cute I thought.
Then we ate our picnic dinner. I just made sandwiches. I think I actually had a hot dog. Eli wanted chips and cookies too so he enjoyed those. He actually devoured his sandwich and had some funny expressions while doing it.

This photo is one of my favorites. I love his expression the cookie in hand and crumbs just make it. He was all laid out just enjoying himself.

It was time to go but he begged to play for a few more minutes and I let him. He had such fun. I of course just took some photos. Nothing spectacular but when I looked through them after uploading it brought me back to being a kid and playing outside and everything that it means so I loved that they brought me such memories. I wish I would have been able to let him go barefoot but there were too many prickly things so we did not get to do that but that is ok.

Before we left we all sat and just enjoyed each other and played Pat-A-Cake. We listened to the birds. We watched the grass sway in the wind and we enjoyed how wonderful summer is.

It was a wonderful evening and a great way to break in the stroller.
Sunday was spent just catching up. Anthony was still not feeling well. Eli broke out in hives and the Allergies started again so he and Anthony were under the weather and not the happiest. So Lilliana and I enjoyed ourselves. She is always happy and fun. She now enjoys wrapping herself up in her blankets now. There is always a smile on her face if you talk to her too.

I love her!! She is just great!!!
Today I used the stroller again and we went walking with my good friend and her little girl Claire. The kids were all decked out in sunglasses, hats, cups, sunblock, etc. We walked for a good two hours and even stopped at the park for few minutes. It was great!!

We played the rest of the day. Eli is still dealing with hives on his face and arms. Poor kid! He has become my little book worm.
a

I love this next photo. I love that he is crossing his toes. I could not resist capturing it.

Lilliana is also starting to do those great baby pushups. I need to get some better photos of her doing that this week but she is rolling everywhere and become so mobile, fun, and talkative.

This is also the new favorite toy for both of them. Aunt Tracy got it for Lilliana but Eli loves it too. The first time we showed it to Lilliana she was screaming and laughing with excitement.......I failed to capture any of it but it was adorable!! She loves it and so does Eli. The little figurines make the noise of whatever they are and the Farmer plays "Old McDonald." Needless to say they play very well together with it.

All in all its been a fabulous weekend and I can not wait to continue to enjoy them this week. I do hope Eli starts feeling better soon. I am looking forward to the Holiday weekend. The Fourth of July is one of my favorites so I can't wait!
