Anthony was out of town all last week. When he called me wed night to tell me he was going to be home a day early I was happy! I survived the first time of him being out of town with all three. Surprising I did just fine too. I was not stressed or even tired. I attribute that to God's Grace. I know Anthony prayed for me a lot.
I let the kids stay up later to wait for him. They were not thrilled I interrupted their movie to take a picture with the screaming baby.

We had great plans to go to the Fair and the Beach since Anthony had four days off. Unfortunatly it rained and was chilly pretty much all that time. Soooo we enjoyed puzzles, relaxing in our pajamas, afternoon coffee and plain laziness.

The kids took turns holding Ari but really truly Little Miss is in love with him. She nows tries to pick him up if he starts crying.
Or strip your clothes.......take your pick
Saturday we said good bye to Anthony's youngest brother who will be headed to Japan as he will be stationed there for two years. He spent some time wrestling with Eli and Anthony.
We took some very informal pictures before he left. I insisted. It will be two years before we see him again unless he is able to come home to visit. Everybody complained because they did not look nice but who cares.
I made the mistake of eating chili one night. Oh we paid for it. Poor Ari screamed so much. He ended up getting a bath and swaddled. It helped and for that I was thankful!
Little Miss had to cuddle her babies just like I cuddled Ari too. It was so cute to see.
Ari is getting so big. We had a Urologist appointment on Friday for him. He is going to have surgery within the next year. We will know more after February when we go back for another consult. He weighed 12 lbs. 5 oz. and was 23 1/2 inches at about 6 weeks. He turned 6 weeks on Saturday.
When Eli was about six weeks old we went to my cousins wedding. My uncle who is also a photographer was there and took some pictures of Eli. I had no idea he took them until Mother's day when he sent me an amazing matboard of them. It was so special. I took some of Lilliana that were similar not as good as his! So this weekend I knew I needed to do the same for Ari. With Lilliana her newborn photos were terrible but I got some good ones of her at that age. This time Ari's six week ones were terrible but newborn good. I think that just means I am way more comfortable doing newborn ones now.

Oh and his lion hat still fits!
Eli is getting so big too. I noticed this as he slept on the couch the other night after his foot falling asleep.
Speaking of getting big. I had grand plans to get his pictures done. Sunday we had a little window of time to do them. He asked to do them everyday. Then it came time to go on Sunday and he did not want to go. I almost made him but Anthony reminded me it would not be worth it and he would not smile. He was right. Oh I was so mad. So without fail they are getting done this next weekend! Instead he and Lilliana made a mess of the paper.
It was a wonderful relaxing weekend. I can't say I was ready for Monday to come. Aunt Toni texted me to take the kids today. It was a nice surprise and honestly was a good thing so I could get caught up on some stuff. The kids patiently waited for her at the door. They were so excited for her to come.

It left the Little Man and I some time together. I was able to capture his first smiles other than sleep ones on camera. The past couple days he has been smiling and cooing at us. Finally he did it long enough to take some pictures.
He also used the Bumbo for the first time. He is getting too big! He wanted to sit up and see everything so I thought I would try it. He loved that he could look all around. He is still a little wobbly with his head so I won't leave him in it too long but he loved it. This boy needs to slow down!!
Tomorrow I have my last appointment at The Greenhouse Birth Center. It will be sad for so many reasons. More to come on that tomorrow. Until then I will remember how grateful and thankful I have been able to receive care from the wonderful staff and my beloved midwives for these three munckins.
