It is another Embrace the Camera day. I am linking up with Emily at The Anderson Crew as she celebrates 2 years of intentionally being in front of the camera. Join us and embrace your camera today!
Ok honestly the photographer in me hates phone pictures for a lot of stuff. I really do loath them. Purely because they usually have a lot of noise and there is not a lot of control with them. Regardless I have become one that uses it a lot more especially now with three kids and always bouncing Ari.
Last night was one of the first nights we have not had a cranky fussy baby before bed. I attribute that to beating him at his own game and changing things up. I didn't give him the chance to get get cranky. I fed the kids then plopped the youngest two in the stroller and put Eli on his bike and away we went for a good while during his usual fussy time. Can I say it was wonderful. There was no crying non stop. So last night when I crawled into bed with a happy baby it was amazing. I swaddled him and drew him close to the crook of my arm and he was out. Normally this does not happen and I bounce and plead for sleep to finally happen. We are making progress.
I just laid in bed smelling and snuggling him all the while singing. These are the moments I live for as a mother. It melted my heart. Usually at this point in the game I have moved them to their crib as I am ready for my bed back. I am not ready yet. Granted he sleeps in his bassinet after he falls asleep and he does not usually wake up until 5 or 5:30 so really he is not sleeping much with me but the little he is I am not ready to give up. Deep down I realize he is the last and from my last appointment at the birth center it confirms a lot. God has a funny way of finalizing things. Anthony told me while I was pregnant God made it clear he was the last one. Our hearts have been torn with this. We really would love another but feel there are some bigger and better plans ahead. God always works in His way and timing so maybe there will be more but for now I truly believe he is the last. All that to say I am cherishing all these last moments with my little babe! Time please slow down!
