Missing Family and Setting Goals

It has been a great week with my family!! I have so much enjoyed having them here. They left this morning and I was so sad to see them go. It was crazy at times and my house was chaotic a lot of the time with the kids but I miss them soo much! Eli even missed them. Tonight he kept telling me they went bye and asking about Chloe.

Today also began my day of losing baby weight!! I was motivated before but after Monday became even more motivated. We went shopping to get the kids Easter outfits but I also tried on some pants because I am in between sizes. It was not pretty and decided right then I am kicking into high gear when it comes to losing this weight!!! Today I did Zumba and also went for a nice long walk carrying Lilliana in my Ergo. She has a fussy time at night. It happens every day at the same time and I found that wearing her in the Ergo she is completely calm but I have to be walking around. So, I used that to my advantage and just walked. She was a lot less fussy tonight and it was more enjoyable to be able to just relax tonight. Tomorrow I will take the kids for another walk and probably do one of my excercise DVDs. I am determined to lose this weight!!!

While Tosha was here I made some more hair bows. Here are some of the ones I made. I plan to make some more tomorrow. I love doing it and Chloe looked adorable in her bows that I made for her. All in all it was a great week and I am looking forward to my visit in July home to spend with all my sisters and their families!!

  1. i had a great nurse explain a reason why lots of babies get fussy at night (it was about 10pm with mine). and this explaination is only good if you're breastfeeding. first thing in the morning you have good, refreshed, replenished milk. even if you don't sleep all night perfectly, you are still getting SOME sleep and you're resting your body. all your energy is going into producing milk! so it's good milk. that lasts as long as it lasts, but unless you rest and take a little nap in the middle of the day, by evening time your milk is just completely "dry" so to speak. it's out of nourishment. now, this isn't literal, because of course you still have milk and it's still breastmilk, but you see what i'm saying? if you take, even a short little nap during the day to replenish that milk and give it another good zap it will last that baby longer and keep him/her happy and feeling full.
i don't know if that will help you, but it ABSOLUTELY helped my last son. we never had to deal with that cranky baby at night with him because i followed this regimen just up until he started eating solids for a good part.
all of my babies have been good/easy babies. they eat well, they sleep well, happy all the time... until about 9 or 10pm (when it was time for ME to go to bed) they'd start fussing and whining and act like they just weren't happy --which sucked because i was DONE with energy and READY to just go to bed and i couldn't because i had a baby that needed something.
so, anyway, maybe that will help. it's not lazy to take a nap. if you're nursing, you need it. even if you're not tired. just take a break and lay down for a bit.
i hope you have good results with losing baby weight... be healthy! <3
