Our Mother's Day

This little boy has me locked in my office today. My heart is hurting as he has surgery today and wants to nurse but I can't. I feel so bad. He is crying and I found it easier to just leave him because I couldn't take his pitiful looks or crying. I am grateful Anthony is willing to hold him and comfort him because me doing it just makes him angrier since I won't nurse him.

Regardless of all that we had a wonderful weekend. It may have rained and been cold, (put away all the winter clothes and pull out the summer clothes....it will bring winter back every time) but we had fun. Friday night in the rain we decided to go to the carnival. I had sessions on Saturday and it didn't look like it would be much better for being out so we went. Also, Eli had been bugging us so if we got it done he would stop asking was my thoughts.

Lilliana had to ride with Anthony a lot of the rides and couldn't do some but that was ok. She got her money's worth with her band and had fun. Although she is soo serious when she rides. She insisted she had fun but hardly smiled the entire time she rode the rides. Eli of course loved them. He got cold towards the end and was ready to be done.

For some reason my blogger account and YouTube will not link so I can't post the videos of them riding but here are the links if you would like to watch them.

I also got a picture with me and the kids at the Carnival. One day I plan to do family pictures on a midway or something. I think it would be so fun and colorful.   photo DSC_8021_zps332de5d2.jpg

Lilliana was tired of walking. Ari just wanted held and nobody but me is looking at the camera. I am pretty sure that is typical. I also love the carnival guy standing the background. HA. Oh well it tells a story right.

Saturday we had the parade here. They loved that. Then they went with Grandma. Anthony and I ran errands as my sessions were canceled. We enjoyed a nice lunch out.

The kids began getting hives from seasonal allergies I assume on Saturday so when they came home Saturday night I felt so bad for them. Lilliana had them all over and Eli's poor eyes were swollen.

I went down to the carnival on Saturday night to do some night photos. It has been on my bucket list to photograph a ferris wheel and finally I did it. I was pleased with how well they turned out. It isn't the most spectacular ferris wheel to photograph due to the light patterns, but they look great.

Sunday I wanted a boring lazy day. I needed some time to just relax so that is what we did. It was wonderful. Anthony made me dinner and breakfast and the kids were great. We did go for a walk but it was COLD. I thought we would get a picture of how cold it was and how lazy I felt for the day.

Same story as before with Lilliana in the stroller.

The kids also painted some wood toys that day. Eli had gotten a train from Uncle Pat and Aunt Amanda for his birthday so he did that and Lilliana painted a wooden box for her jewelry.

All in all it was a great weekend. I dread today, as the waiting is the worst part. I have things to keep me busy during his surgery, but telling him no he can't eat is hard. He just does not understand. It will make me stronger that is what I have to think. As a mom it rips my heart out. Prayers and thoughts appreciated today.
