After the funeral we went to extended family Christmas on Anthony's side. This is always a good time. It is crazy, loud, and always fun. Anthony and I were late due to the funeral. Eli and Lilliana stayed there while we were at the funeral. I walked in the door and Eli was so excited to show me his camera that he had gotten from Aunt Theresa.

It does not actually take pictures but it makes a shutter noise. He does not care because in his mind he is taking pictures like mom. He has not let that out of his sight since he got it. He builds things then snaps a picture. It is really cute. He also told me, "Mom we are going to open presents. You can't pick me up because I have to open presents. You can take Lilliana home." It was sooo funny and cute. Finally he realized we were all staying.
There was more opening of presents. Eli got some really cool things as did Lilliana. He got a bike that you ride and it plays a game on the TV. He thought that was so cool. He also is now a box man as he got his own box man outfit and truck.

The trucks he got are huge collector items. One of them is from 1977.

The bigger one is recent and even has a white top.

He LOVES them!
Lilliana of course did not really care about opening presents again. She got some fun stuff too which included an Eeyore which in so many ways fits her! She also got this really neat book.

It is hand made and cloth so it won't get ruined. I love it. I love History so I am so excited she got it and Eli has enjoyed it also.

We had a great time. Although having kids meant we went to bed fairly early for New Years Eve. I was in bed at 9:00. Anthony followed within half an hour. We got good sleep. It was a bittersweet ending to a wonderful year.
We woke up New Year's Day to Eli telling us he had thrown up. We figured he had just coughed and spit into the toilet. He thinks that is throwing up. He acted fine and ate breakfast. We began to get ready fo Church when he heads to the toilet and starts throwing up. Needless to say he was sick. He spent much of the day relaxing. Anthony let him play Angry Birds on my Kindle.

He thought that was so cool since normally we don't allow him to play many games like that. He and Anthony enjoyed themselves. We also got to talk to Grandpa Bart, Grandma Nicole and cousin Chloe on Skype. He didn't talk much but told us about it after. He seemed fine until right before bed when he started throwing up again. I was up a lot during the night with him. Thankfully he has not thrown up since but he has not eaten anything. Here is to hoping nobody else gets it.
We have an exciting week ahead of us as Anthony's brother comes home from Marine Boot Camp. We can't wait to see him! We also are experiencing some more winter like weather so I am sure that will mean snow and many outside outings to play in it. We may have started off sick for the year, but that is ok. Hoping everybody had a safe and Happy New Year!
