Saturday was of course Eli's birthday. We also had Lilliana and Eli's party that day.
We did it at Play. The kids love Play. We don't get to go much just because I am busy and taking all three can be a little crazy. Kasey does such a great job with Play. The kids love going. We invited all the daycare kids and Anthony's family. The only kids that came were their cousin and then their daycare friend Hayden. It was very low key and we were so happy that Hayden and September came.
I really could have gone all out and done some fancy decorations etc. Really truly one year I "might" do that. First, I am busy and second well we are at Play. There is really no need for too many decorations. Eli's birthday is Dr. Seuss' birthday so I have thought about doing that one year we just have never followed through.
Regardless they had a wonderful time and we are so thankful that Anthony's family was able to make it and celebrate with us.
Gluten free cupcakes from the famous Crave Bakeshop that won cupcake wars. These cupcakes were sooooo good! I had the mix sent and made them. Excuse the presentation because Anthony would say I am terrible at it. We had Eli allergy tested and Gluten was very high on the list so slowly we are eliminating it although it pretty much is gone and has been pretty easy as I have been trying to transition us all to a grain free diet.
Basically we let them play and we visited or I took pictures. Then we had cake and opened presents. It was very lowkey and enjoyable.
Right before presents it got a little interesting. I think every child that could poop their pants did. This is odd for Lilliana because since potty training she has not once pooped her pants. Unfortunately hers was a huge mess so we had to change clothes. I am thankful to my work for having clothes right next door. I grabbed her an outfit quick and we were good to go.
Opening presents was a little crazy with all the kids. I feel like they got TOO much stuff. They did get some really neat things though. I also love that we got a zoo pass for the year. We will be enjoying the zoo soon!
We took some nice pictures. Although trying to get a family picture was interesting............
We got dinner on our way home. Ari was doing normal Ari things like screaming so he got to sit up front. I have a picture of Eli "driving" about the exact same age so I had to capture this too.
The next day I woke up to the normal post party get out all the toys mess. I am amazed at how many toys can be brought to the living room in the shortest amount of time but it takes HOURs to return all those toys to their rightful place.
They melted my heart when I walked into their room to see what they were doing. They had all the fake food Lilliana got for her kitchen out and they were having a picnic.
I also cut Lilliana's hair yesterday. After the disastrous cut her brother gave her it was time. I was sad but it NEEDED done.
We ended the evening with a bath and doing an individual quick celebration for Eli.
All in all it was a wonderful weekend. I am tired but it was worth it.
