It is always a phase.........

Something I have learned while having kids is they go through phases. It took Anthony's Aunt reminding me this when Eli was very young. It will only last for a bit and then they will be on to something new. She has been right and I always have to remember those wise words.

The phase of Eli being downright crazy naughty and into a lot of things that could really hurt him has finally ended. Needless to say it took cutting himself with a knife before it has finally stopped.Thank goodness after some brainstorming with my Grandma I have my sweet boy back!! Photobucket Photobucket

As is obvious I am having trouble keeping up with blogging and pictures. That is ok though because now that Eli is being so good I am enjoying hanging out with these crazy kids. Although waking up first thing and dealing with messes from a little girl who likes to help with breakfast is not always fun but its life and one day I will laugh.

Also cleaning up billions of blocks and stepping on them is a challenge everyday. I remind Eli multiple times a week to pick them up. He is beyond creative though and makes so many things. Example................................................Carwash!

I can't say I am enjoying the sleepless nights! Ari has decided midnight is the appropriate time to be awake. So many nights I see this.............

Then just as I get him to sleep and think we are good it starts all over!!!!

Needless to say I have been surviving on my cup of coffee in the morning.

Speaking of this little man he turned 3 weeks this past Saturday!!!! It is hard to believe he is going to be a month old!!!!! TIME NEEDS TO SLOW DOWN!!!! My kids need to stop growing.

The Details

Another tradition started with Eli was when they were little always sitting on Anthony's lap and playing video games with him. It usually happened the week after they were born while he was off of work. Well we are much busier now and video games rarely get played these days so it did not happen until this weekend finally.

It seems as if the video game phase in this house is done for a while. Anthony and I use to play after the kids went to bed but we are both so exhausted that does not happen much anymore.

Lilliana is finally entering the girly phase. She is beginning to really love her dolls and all things girl. Monday Eli went to Aunt Toni's house to play with the kids. So it was Lilliana, Ari, and I. I had some one on one time with her, something that is hard to do with all three here for long periods. We got out her magnetic "paper" dolls she got for Christmas. She LOVED them!

Eli decided when he got home he wanted to play too.

Last friday we got a box from my sisters. Eli's cousin sent him some clothes and he was so excited to wear the overalls. He wore them when it was 95 degrees out but hey that is what he wanted and it was not worth the fight. I will just let him learn he will be too hot. He is in that phase of picking out his own clothes and does not like to be told something does not go together or work because in his mind it does!

Anthony and I have had a debate about who Ari looks like. Last night he got a bath and I took some pictures of him pretty close to ones I took of Eli. Eli was a bit older but here is a good comparison.

Eli is top in the first collage and first in the second one. I see the resembelence but he does not look as much like Eli as Anthony thought. I am sure he will change a lot like the other two have and be his own little boy just like the other two are their own people. Either way he is cute as can be and so is Eli. Then again I am a little biased!

Since Eli seems to be out of his crazy phase we got to go out and enjoy a walk and some time without me being nervous to take all three and Eli taking off. This is how we roll now...............

Eli rides his bike so well and Lilliana loves to just ride. It works great and I get some good excercise. The schools are all getting work done in them this year. They are getting air conditioners and the kids got to watch the crane move them today. They loved watching.

It was a great day and I am hoping we can continue this phase of Eli being a good, helpful, and sweet little boy. It makes our home, days, and me so much happier and relaxed. When in doubt just remember life is about phases especially with kids and they will grow out of them with time.
