Another weekend comes and goes.................

This weekend was busy and did not afford a whole lot of time for pictures and fun. I guess I could have taken the time but honestly we were so busy with projects it was un real. Unfortunately we did not make it to the fair as planned. Eli would not take a nap on Friday and was told if he did not take a nap there would be no fair. He chose not to take one so we had to stick to it. Besides the fact I was not taking a crannky toddler to the fair. I was very disappointed as I know both would have enjoyed it but sometimes as parents you have to stick to your guns or you have no authority. Hopefully next year we will make it.

 Our room is slowly coming together. The carpet is finally in. Now we need to do trim and decorate. When I get all that done I will post pictures. It is so nice to finally be getting rid of some of the mess in this house. Our house always seems like chaos because we are always updating something, the kids are always growing out of clothes so it just gets stored, and then the kids just make a big mess with toys! Thankfully we seem to be making headway lately. Somedays I don't think we will ever have everything in a "place," but then we had productive weekends like this and I know it is possible!


The past two mornings I have heard the geese flying south. Summer is coming to an end and I am right the leaves are starting their gradual change. I LOVE Fall. I will be so sad to see summer end. It actually has been a little chilly lately in the mornings too. Soon it will be time for fall fashion, cider, donuts, and chili!!

The kids personalities have begun to just blossom more and more over the past couple of weeks! We have noticed Eli has started to get his feelings hurt. If he does not think something is fair he is making sure you know you hurt his feelings. He has some very funny things said too................

~The other day he was at Aunt Toni's and he wanted to go outside but had to go to the bathroom first. I am not sure I have the wording correct but he said something like, " I pee in potty and go outside." Aunt Toni told him, "Actually, you pee in the potty and your headed home." Eli said, "ACTUALLY, outside." I don't know if that was exactly the way it was said but you get the idea.


~We have been blowing on Lilliana's belly and she just giggles up a storm. We do it to Eli occassionally. Anthony did it to him the other day. So now he tries to be subtle about it but he is not, and he comes up to us with his shirt up and pats his belly. Then he says, "Mom/Dad spit on my belly?!?"

~We went to Best Buy this weekend and he saw the Apple Symbol. Anthony asked him what it looked like. Eli said, "its white." Anthony told him yes it was and asked him if it looked like something  we would eat. Eli told him, "White Chicken." So we decided Apple needs to change its name to White Chicken Computers. Eli thought that was a great idea.

~Saturday morning I took Eli upstairs to wake Anthony up. I told him, "Pull the blanket back and kiss Daddy's belly." Eli started to pull it back and said, "mom its not workin, the blankets not kissing his belly." It was just too funny!!

He has also started to use his imagination so much. He now takes his cars and goes to Meijer to get groceries and gas. He uses boxes and all sorts of things for houses.



He just is turning into such a big boy.


Lilliana has been obsessed with her tongue lately. Finally I realized she has been trying to blow raspberries with it. She actually does it all the time now. She had a couple of weeks of just crying a lot. She has been so happy the past couple of days it has been great. If you just look at her she bursts into a fit of giggles and smiles. She sat in the front seat of the car the other day and Eli thought it was hilarious she was "Driving."


I can't believe she will be 6 months this week!! She consistantly is wearing 9 and 12 month clothes. This outfit is actually six months so some 6 month stuff still fits but not all of it does.


We had a lot of rain this weekend and consequently our mushrooms are back!! There are 8 now although some punk kids ruined about 4 of them. I looked this morning and they are not so great as they were the last time. I think they got a little too much water and look almost like they are rotting.


I think we had a busy weekend because at one point all of us fell asleep in places outside of our bed except Anthony.


I was so out of it I did not even know Anthony took the pictures of Lilliana and I. Eli is usually pretty good  about not falling asleep in his car seat so it was a surprise to see this. I love his new hat. My parents sent it to him. He loves it. It fits him well plus it came in a box so he was thrilled.

All in all it was a great weekend!! This week should be fun as we have a play date planned.
