Crafts, Pictures, and Ice Cream

Today was once again filled with some fun things. Eli and I did a craft. They did not turn out the way I had hoped but he still enjoyed them and they were pretty cute. I think the problem was they did not dry well due to the humidity.

We made little glass lanterns for tomorrow nights fireworks...............

First you get star stickers and put them all over glass jars. Next time I will be using larger stickers I think.

Then you spray paint the glasses with red spray paint.

Then you get the little batter operated candles and put them in after you have peeled off the stickers.

They just are not that bright so next time I think we will do bigger stickers or not do them at all. BUT Eli had fun so I was glad!

We also went and took our fourth of July pictures that I will post tomorrow as I am editing and going through them. I would call it my first real photo shoot where I thought I knew what I was doing. I shot in manual so I really hope I got some good ones. We will see. It will also be the first photos I edit in Photoshop. A lot of firsts. I figure I can only learn more from here!!! I have a couple photo sessions coming up in the next couple months so I really wanted to see how doing this would go. It was with my own family which I think can be a little more stressful. I have decided Lilliana's age is so hard to do outside. She can't sit up really well yet and is very interested in everything outside so it is really hard to do a lot but I am hoping I got some cute ones! Stay tuned for tomorrow and you can see them:)

Eli was promised a treat if he cooperated today for pictures meaning he did not yell at me while I was taking them. I did not care if he smiled or not. He could run around etc but no yelling at me for no pictures. It must have worked because he was an angel and did everything we asked and was sooo good! I let him pretty much play which worked out well.  So we went to Chili's for dinner to get him his special treat. Of course I left the camera at home. I though oh I won't need it but I got some pictures with my phone. Not the greatest but something so here he is eating his chocolate molten cake and ice cream. Oh and we have started introducing milk back into his diet slowly and he seems to be doing much better!!!Photobucket

I can't wait for tomorrow as the 4th is one of my favorite holidays!! We plan to take the kids to the fireworks tomorrow night so it should be great!!!
