HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY

Photobucket

What a wonderful country we live in!! We have been so blessed as a nation and I hope that God continues to bless this great nation! I don't know what it is but the site of military men and woman, fireworks, the sound of the Star Spangled Banner, and most anything patriotic usually brings tears to my eyes. I am grateful to my mom and dad who raised me with great PRIDE for my country. I think that is why it brings tears to my eyes. This is one of my favorite days of the year! I use to hate fireworks as a little girl. Anybody that knew me would know I would run and hide anywhere I could and cry and cry for hours. Thankfully I have grown out of that. I am excited to take Eli to see some big fireworks, and this year we have started some traditions which include a patriotic food making time, craft, and some good old history lessons about the wonderful country we live in. Today I will be teaching him about the flag. One thing my wonderful parents did was teach us the History of this country and for that I will be ever grateful!

As promised some pictures from yesterday's outing. I am learning photo shop so each picture has a different look/feel and I am only uploading a few as I don't feel like spending today editing since Anthony is home. Remember those great photo props I got last week at the antique store? Well I was able to use one. I had another cute idea but Lilliana is not quit big enough yet for that idea but soon enough it will work. I got some cute photos so I was happy overall with what turned out...

It will be nice when I get family pictures done this fall and I am not the one having to hold the remote. Yes that makes it a little funny looking but hey I am resourceful:)

We also saw this beautiful family of swans yesterday on our way home. Every time I drive by I want to take their picture but its either just me and the kids, no camera, or wrong lens! Yesterday I was prepared and little did I know they had some babies! It was great to see them. I did not realize how big a male can be!

I hope everybody has a wonderful day today. I plan to take pictures of our days activities of course and tonight will be the first time I will ever be shooting complete manual. I will be doing it for fireworks although last night I had a practice run with the sparkler in the collage. I hope they turn out! Usually I shoot part manual and let the camera do some of the work but tonight it is all me!! Be safe and enjoy your day!
