Eli did not want to go to bed last night but he was so tired. So it took probably half an hour to get him to bed. The kids are in bed finally I get to bed. I fall asleep and an hour later I wake up to fireworks outside our house mind you its midnight. I was not a happy camper. It woke up me and the kids. So I get them back down. Then Eli decides he is still not going to sleep. He was hungry so he said. He did eat a big dinner so I got him cereal.
Then get him back to bed. Then at this point the dogs are still not calmed down from the fireworks. So I go back downstairs to find this.......................
I guess he was still hungry. I get him back to bed. I decided I will sleep on the couch so I do not keep waking Anthony up.
I lay down and what do you know Lilliana is awake, but how can you get frustrated at this adorable face.
At this point it is 2:00 in the morning.
I get her back to bed only to have Eli back up. Yep it was one of those kind of nights and even though he was in trouble every time I put him back to bed he insisted we pray.
Needless to say I got very little sleep. When I finally did get him to sleep Lilliana was up again. Then I fell asleep only to be woke up to Anthony getting ready for work. Then Eli was up again. Yep it was that kind of night. I considered making 12 cups of coffee to get through the day but I decided it was a grin and deal with it kind of day.
Sooooooooooo I got up got my coffee put on my makeup including some lipstick. It did not hide the tired worn out mom look but made me feel better. I put in my favorite hoop earrings. Turned on my oldies music........Buddy Holly and we made the best of it with only one little melt down from Eli. Even though he was ever so tired.
Our day was spent cuddling.........
Being Police Men and Firemen.........
..........with his fake badge from the Laingsburg police. He sits and watches them outside our house. The other night they were parked there so we went and said hi and he got a "badge."
It was a day for corral monkey polka dot onesies that are nice and bright.........
A day for bright blue eyed beauties to suck on their fingers from teeth coming in........
It was a day for tall towers and tall cars and lots of block building.........
It was a day for jumping to our hearts content................
And peanut butter and jelly butterfly sandwiches..............
Then it was NAP TIME!!! Oh Glorious sleep with a beautiful cuddly little baby girl.................
Then we watched her sleep after Eli and I woke up. That is the best............
It was a Curious George Reading and sharing kind of day.............
And I guess since the teenage boys were not done doing fireworks neither was Eli done flag waving because he asked to go outside with it..............
We may have had limited sleep but we survived and had a great day!!!
