Anthony has not boughten clothes since the first year we were married and I went and bought him summer clothes. So about 3 years ago. His clothes have been needing replaced for at least a year now. The summer ones at least so I said enough we are going today!! Thankfully he finally agreed and we got some really good deals at Old Navy. We never go to mall. In fact this was Lilliana's first outing to the mall ever. So today we got to be what I call Mall Rats. I would love to be there more but we find if we go look we want to buy to its easier not to do that. But all in the name of being a "Mall Rat" we got to eat at the food court. Actually we just got Eli something to eat. He thought it was the coolest thing. Like I said we rarely go to the mall so it was an exciting new adventure. He got to have pizza and lemonade.......
The lady at Sabarro thought he was really cute so she gave him a ball which he thought would be fun to throw. Of course that was stopped pretty quickly.
He also got to put a penny down one of those penny things that basically just eats your change because it does something cool. I use to say what a waste but watching Eli get so excited today now I know and remember why I use to love things like that as a kid. He thought it was great fun.
As we were leaving to go to Meijer to pick up a few things we went by the arcade and Eli was just looking ever so longingly at it and I know Anthony enjoys the arcade occasionally so I figured what the heck lets just go and play and be the ideal "Mall Rat" today.
We won't be making this a habit. It was just something fun to do today. Eli had a blast and it was fun to just get out and do something different from what we normally do. The best part is I won't have to do laundry every stinking day so Anthony has clothes because he finally has some new ones and that makes it all worth it to me!
It was very HOT here today. It was nice to have the heat though. I just wish it was not so humid. That of course meant we were going to have to go swimming at Aunt Toni's. Eli did not really want to go which is surprising. He was way more interested in his Thomas matching game. He is in LOVE with Thomas stuff and this was just too much fun.
We did finally end up making it to the pool. Eli had not had a very long nap so by this point was very cranky but we mustered through it and went. Now he had many different emotions in such a short time it was unreal................
The Little Monkey even tried to escape at one point.
But he eventually decided to have fun. He also was obsessive over the pink flamingo. And for my sister Tosha............"You see that pink flamingo, yeah that one! Yeah that one right there! That flamingo right there.....See it?!? Yep that is one for your yard!"
Lilliana loved swimming. She loves the water and it was nice and cool. She needed her glasses though. She likes to be outside but a lot of the times only with her glasses on because she does not like it to be super bright.
Eventually we put her in this really big lounge chair and she slept. We also let Eli just get out and do what he really wanted to do which was play in the sandbox because that is what he LOVES to do. Anthony and I swam and enjoyed not having to tend to kids:) Its amazing how nice it was to just talk and not deal with either one of them since Eli was being so great in the sandbox. I forget what that can be like and it was a good reminder how much I love that wonderful man!
This was also a great excuse to let Eli use his new Cars Towel. He was excited to use it.
It was a great afternoon and these are the reasons I love my family because we can have so much fun with just little money!!
Anthony and I were talking about how our goal was to wait two years until after we were married to have kids. Of course that did not end up happening but we both agreed we would have been better off financially had we BUT we would never go back. Our kids are our world and are so wonderful!!! I don't ever want to change what we have. Especially when I see funny things like this...............
As you can see Eli's rash is still around.
Lilliana has also found her toes!! She is still too fat to get them to her mouth but its pretty cute to see her trying!!! I LOVE THIS CHILD!!! She just lights up the room. Her and her brother are amazing. I can't wait to share them with my Idaho family soon!
Tomorrow we have some great Fourth of July crafts and food things planned so stay tuned for that!!!!:)
